First Baptist is located at 633 Centre Street across from the Post Office in Jamaica Plain. While our building is being restored, our worship and office space are temporarily housed in a trailer on our property.


Driving Directions:

From West Roxbury / Roslindale:
Take Centre Street north to the roundabout after the Arboretum (on your right). At the roundabout take the second exit (straight across) onto Centre Street. At the monument, turn left to stay on Centre Street. FBCJP is three blocks down on the left.

From Roslindale:
Take Washington Street north. After you pass the Forest Hills station on the right, Washington Street becomes South Street. Follow South Street up to the monument and bear right onto Centre Street. FBCJP is three blocks down on the left.

From points North:
Cambridge / Somerville:
Take Memorial Drive to the BU Bridge. Cross over the BU Bridge, go through the lights onto Mountfort Street. Turn right soon after lights onto Carleton Street. Turn right onto Chapel Street. Turn left onto Longwood Avenue to cross the bridge over the train tracks. Take the first right onto Riverway, which becomes Jamaicaway. Stay in the left lane and turn left at a set of lights onto Pond Street. Turn right onto Centre Street. FBCJP will be on your right.

Route 93 Southbound:
From I-93 South, take Storrow Drive west. Exit at the Fenway / Kenmore Square exit, stay left in the exit to go up the offramp. On the offramp bear right onto Brookline Ave. Take Brookline Ave to its intersection with Riverway, turn left onto Riverway, which becomes Jamaicaway. Stay in the left lane and turn left at a set of lights onto Pond Street. Turn right onto Centre Street. FBCJP will be on your right.

From Points West of Boston (including Newton):
Take Route 9 east (towards Boston). You’ll pass a large lake on the right. At the second set of lights after the lake, turn right onto Cypress Street. Where road dead ends into Chestnut Street, turn left. At the roundabout take first exit (right). At light turn left onto Perkins Street. At the next light turn right onto Jamaicaway, stay in the left lane and turn left at a set of lights onto Pond Street. Turn right onto Centre Street. FBCJP will be on your right.

From points South of Boston:
Take Routes 3, 24 or 95 north to Route 95 exit 15. At exit 15 take the Providence Highway north. At the rotary take the first exit (right) onto Washington Street. After you pass the Forest Hills station on the right Washington Street becomes South Street. Follow South Street up to the monument and bear right onto Centre Street. FBCJP is three blocks down on the left.

By Subway:
We are a 5 minute walk from the Green St T stop on the Orange Line. Exit the station and walk to the left, up Green St. to Centre St. The church is across Centre St.

By Bus:
Take the #39 bus toward Jamaica Plain. The bus stops at the corner of Myrtle and Centre Streets right in front of our church.
